HADM 670 - Internship in Health Administration 6 Hour(s)
Through the supervised internship, students demonstrate understanding of theory and practice in a health organization. (The site must be preapproved by the program director.) The formal internship will be goal/objective driven with a final project report/portfolio that describes the goals/objectives, outlines the scope of the work, and presents recommendations and solutions in a professional manner. A written and oral presentation is developed and presented by the student. This course is a culminating experience for the MHA candidate to use cultural perspectives to synthesize knowledge and skills and address five key domains of health administration: communication and relationship management, professionalism, leadership, knowledge of healthcare environment, business knowledge and skills. This field work may be offered at a facility or in a virtual format.
Prerequisite(s): successful completion of all required courses in the MHA program Grading: Pass/No Credit Fees: $100 graduation fee
