EDUC 651 - Leadership Seminar

This seminar is the introductory course in educational leadership for prospective school administrators. Students will explore the knowledge, skills and dispositions necessary for effective and innovative leadership in a fast-paced and demanding environment. The North Carolina Standards for School Executives will provide a central framework for discussion and assignments. Leadership theory and principles and practices applicable to the organizational components of schools will be emphasized, along with major functions of school leaders. (Clinical experiences in school and district settings required.)
