CRST 285 - Criminal Procedure 3 Hour(s)
This class will introduce students to the criminal process that is undertaken when a citizen is suspected of committing a specific crime. Topics addressed will include a brief introduction to criminal procedure, search and seizure (including stop and frisk law), arrests, interrogations/confessions, and the Exclusionary Rule. The bulk of the course will address the 4th Amendment to the Constitution, specifically Search and Seizure law. These areas will be examined in context to the changing United States Constitution and current and past members of the Supreme Court of the United States.
Prerequisite(s): CRST 110
