HIST 265 - US Constitution and Legal History 3 Hour(s)
Studying the U.S. Constitution, Supreme Court decisions, and other legal documents from throughout the nation’s history, students consider how the law has functioned to change, resist, and promote certain interests within society over time. Particular attention is devoted to legal constructions of race, gender roles and sexuality, the changing status of women within the legal system, and women’s activism concerning specific cases, policies, and legislation.
