HIST 221 - American Womens History 3 Hour(s)
This course offers a topics-based chronological survey of U.S. women’s history from the 1790s through the 1990s. Woven into this course are the experiences and perspectives of women of diverse races, ethnicities, religions, classes and sexual orientations. Key themes include women’s paid employment, place in politics, role within families and communities, relationship to popular culture, and experience of slavery and social and economic upheaval.
