PUBH 250 - Introduction to Epidemiology 3 Hour(s)
This course will introduce students to the use of techniques, study design and strategies used in the field of epidemiology. The investigation of conditions (i.e. infectious and chronic diseases, mental health, environmental health hazards, and injury) will be discussed. Students will explore terminology, historical developments, evaluation of data sources, concepts of morbidity and mortality, the concept of causality, and screening as it relates to health and disease.
Prerequisite(s): PUBH 100 and (MATH 107 or PSYC 201 or BIOL 205 or INTG 115 )
