SPAN 211 - Medical Spanish

Introduction to the study of the Spanish language used in health services. Practice in both oral and written forms of communication, with emphasis on their applications to common situations encountered in hospitals. Special attention will also be given to social practices which differ from those of the United States in order to develop cultural competency.
